Net Bullseye Game 12 Round 2
| <ghost of Jay Stewart> Here he is with the Round Two Scoreboard, Tom
Hornikel!<ghost of Jay Stewart> Thank you, Jay! Well, the second round is finally over. FLOWER POWER and WINTER SPORTS proved to be fatally difficult categories for some of our players. However, we did have a lot of fun playing, for which I am thankful to all our players. As we take a look at the scoreboard, we will see that Gus Mahler has retained his lead, and will be facing Mark Jeffries in the Playoff Round. Both of these fine players are veteran Net Bullseye champions, so this may look like an exhibition Tournament of Champions game before we are done.

Net Bullseye Game 12 Playoff Round
| Tom Hornikel: Welcome to our PLAYOFF ROUND for Game Twelve. The new rules for this round are now well established. We also have two previous Net Bullseye champs facing each other in this game. Let's meet them, as Jay introduces our playoff contenders... <ghost of Jay Stewart> Tom, here is a classical musician and journalist, who has won $3000 so far. Meet Gus Mahler! Gus' challenger is a legal secretary from Chicago, Illinois, and loves musical theatre. He has accumulated $2500 in this game. He is Mark Jeffries! <ghost of Jay Stewart> Tom: Gentlemen, welcome back to the PLAYOFF ROUND. You know the rules. Instead of the individually played game that we play in rounds one and two, the Playoff Round will be much closer to the original Bullseye series. We will start with the player with the higher score after the first two elimination rounds. Gus, you are the leader, and you will have "control" of the first spin. You must contract for the spin. Once the contract is in play, it must be completed. If a player misses a question, control goes to his or her opponent, who must try to answer the missed question correctly in order to steal control. At the completion of each contract, the player who earned the contract is entitled to bank the winnings accumulated in the contract, or risk it. If the money is banked, control goes to the opponent. If it is not banked, the jackpot will grow, until the completion of the next contract. The first player to bank $2000 wins the game, and may go on to play the BONUS ISLAND bonus game. Good luck to both of our returning champs. The windows are spinning the information, Gus. Here is your first spin.... (Bvvvvvoo--shshshshunk!) (*( SPANISH INQUIZITION for $400 )*) (shshshshunk!) (*( FLOWER POWER for $400 )*) and your contract is for ... (shshshshunk!) (*(*( BULLSEYE! )*)*) Excellent spin! What's your choice, Gus? Gus Mahler: oh lord what charming categories... but ill take spanish inquiz please Tom: Always aiming to please here on Net Bullseye. :^) Gus, in this category, you will receive multiple choice questions. The third choice is always "C. Ninguno del antedicho.", meaning "None of the above". Good luck with the question below.... (*( Why did Prometheus get his liver gnawed? A. Because of his heavy alcohol intake. B. Because he stole fire. C. Ninguno del antedicho. )*) Gus: i beelive this is b.. but im worried about whether he STOLE the fire or not .. but i know he did something with it.. so ill say b Tom: I B-lieve you are correct! One correct answer. I assume you wish to continue with this question.... (*( A fortunate mosqito, can be expected to live... A. One month. B. Five months. C. Ninguno del antedicho. )*) Gus: oh im worried about this.. i will guess A >> No. I am sorry. Mark, we turn to you. Here are the remaining choices.... (*( A fortunate mosqito, can be expected to live... B. Five months. C. Ninguno del antedicho. )*) Mark Jeffries: B. Tom: And that is a correct answer, Mark. You have jave control of the game, with $800 in the jackpot. Would you like to end this contract, or continue? Mark: Forgive me for not paying attention, but this is a Bullseye contract? If so, I'd like to try one more. Tom: You are forgiven, my son! If you do not tell me that you wish to end the contract, I will assume that either of you wish to continue. Here is the third question... (*( Is pollen... A. Male? B. Female? C. Ninguno del antedicho? )*) Mark: Pollen is B. Sorry, no. Bees have pollen, but it is not correct. Gus, we turn to you for the answer. Is pollen... A. Male? or C. Ninguno del antedicho? Gus: a Tom: Yes. Pollen is considered to be male. Three down on a Bullseye contract. Here is your next question..... (*( If your mouth twists to one side while your head is cocked, your body language is likely to be revealing that you are expressing... A. Fear. B. Contempt C. Ninguno del antedicho. )*) Gus: im guessing this means you are pondering or in deep thought .. so i will say C Tom: No. Is this game Net Bullseye, or Net Ping Pong? :^) Mark, here is the question.... (*( If your mouth twists to one side while your head is cocked, your body language is likely to be revealing that you are expressing... A. Fear or B. Contempt )*) Mark: I will say A, oh great Spanish Inquizitor. >> Tom: No. The answer is B, for contempt. We will go to Gus with a new question...... (*(*( A Zamboni machine is used to... A. Make lattes. B. Serve frozen yogurt. C. Ninguno del antedicho. )*)*) Gus: THANK GOD I know one.. it is c because a zamboni does something to ice/hockey rink ice :) Tom: That is absolutely right, Gus! Your next question is worth $2000, which is enough to mercifully end this game. Good luck to both of you. Gus, here is your question... (*(*( According to Hugh Hefner, the Playboy bunny logo came from... A. A cloud formation. B. The design on his blankee. C. Ninguno del antedicho. )*)*) Gus: lets cross fingers and go with cloud formation. Tom: For the game, the answer is ...uh...wrong. Mark, here is your chance to win the game...... (*(*( According to Hugh Hefner, the Playboy bunny logo came from... B. The design on his blankee. or C. Ninguno del antedicho. )*)*) Mark: I will say C.>> Noooooooooooooooo. The answer was B. The Playboy Bunny symbol was derived from the image on Hugh Hefner's baby blanket. Gus, control goes back to you. Remember, the next one of you who answers a question correctly wins the game, and my undying thanks...... (*( Compared to the regular version, a half-sized Slinky walks downstairs... A. Half as fast. B. Twice as fast. C. Ninguno del antedicho. )*) Gus: this sounds like i will be SO stupid if i miss this.. im gonna say twice as fast Tom: This sounds........absolutely right! Congratulations to Gus Mahler for FINALLY winning the game. Mark, I know that this has been a gruesome round. Sorry it did not work out better for you, but we do have virtual parting gifts for you, and we hope to see you in future games soon. Gus, we will begin the Bonus Island Game right after I am finished licking my wounds. Here's hoping everything you do hits the Tom Hornikel - Host of Net Bullseye, Net Blank Check and Mind Benders |
