This game involves 2 rounds of regular play, a tournament round and a bonus round.
In the net game, the rules do vary from the television version, in order to allow many
players to participate
ROUNDS 1 and 2-- In each of the first two rounds, each individual player is given the
opportunity to spin the "wheels". The two upper selections are CATEGORY/DOLLAR
spaces. The lower selection determines the number of questions in the
"contract". Five categories will be used throughout each game. For example:
*ART & LITERATURE for $50*
*COMIC BOOK HEROES for $200*
*4 Questions*
This means that the player may choose to answer 4 questions on Art and Literature for $50
each, or 4 questions on Comic Book Heroes for $200 each, to complete the
"contract". If a player misses a question at any time during the contract, the
questioning will end for that round, with no loss of accumulated winnings.
BULLSEYES-- If a "BULLSEYE " appears in the lower window, the player may answer
as many as 5 questions in the round on their chosen category. However, the contestant must
choose with each correctly answered question whether he or she wishes to risk their
winnings for that round and answer another question. (NOTE: The "risk or bank"
decision must accompany the current answer, or the money will automatically be banked!) If
he or she misses a question with a Bullseye contract, that player loses his or her
winnings accrued in that round. AFTER five questions have been answered correctly, the
player may is entitled to answer a sixth question, which is a BULLSEYE BONUS QUESTION.
This question is more difficult than the standard questions in the game, but there is a
reward. Answering the BULLSEYE BONUS question correctly DOUBLES the accrued winnings for
the round! If the player misses the question, there is no loss of points.
PLAYOFF ROUND-- The top two scorers from the first two rounds will play against one
another in a head to head match. Both players will begin the round with no points. The
player with the higher score after the first two elimination rounds will have
"control" of the first spin. That player must contract for the spin. Once the
contract is in play, it must be completed. If a player misses a question, control goes to
his or her opponent, who must try to answer the missed question correctly in order to
steal control. At the completion of each contract, the player who earned the contract is
entitled to bank the winnings accumulated in the contract, or risk it. If the money is
banked, control goes to the opponent. If it is not banked, the jackpot will grow, until
the completion of the next contract. The first player to bank $2000 wins the game, and may
go on to play the BONUS ISLAND bonus game.
HOME AUDIENCE GAME-- At selected times, a HOME AUDIENCE GAME will be played. Three
randomly chosen entrants will be selected to play the Home Audience Game. Each player will
get one spin at the board. Each of the three wheels will have a dollar amount in it. The
player with the most total money after that spin will play the Bonus Game, just like the
rules of the regular Bonus Game below.
BONUS ROUND--The winner of the Tournament Round will get to play the bonus island game. In
that game, the 3 wheels remain. In each wheel, are money amounts, bullseyes, and ,in one
window, LIGHTNING! The object is to get 3 bullseyes without seeing the LIGHTNING. After
each spin, the player may elect to quit the game, and collect their cyberbucks...or play
on. If the player chooses to continue, he or she may elect to "freeze" any
window containing a Bullseye, in order to collect the required 3 matching Bullseyes to win
the game. However, if LIGHTNING should appear, all accumulated dollar earnings from the
bonus round are lost. If 3 Bullseyes are matched in 10 spins or less, with no LIGHTNING,
the champion wins the game, plus 2 1/2 times their dollar winnings from the bonus game and
a prize package.
FURTHERMORE...On Net Bullseye, if the player gets 3 Bullseyes on one spin, he or she will
win the additional prize of a virtual BRAND NEW CAR!!!
Please note...All responses must be received by 11:59p.m. the day after I send my question
or spin request. Any question that I send on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday must be
responded to by 11:59 p.m. Monday, to give weekenders their time to relax, and not worry
about their e-mail.
If there are any scheduling problems, please advise me via e-mail BEFORE your deadline. If
there are any discrepancies regarding deadlines or challenged answers to questions, I will
seek the advice of three ATGS members who are not involved in the play of this game.
The scores for each participant will be posted via e-mail at the end of each round. After
the third round, the two players with the highest total winnings will play one round,
using the same rules as above. Whichever player scores the highest earnings for that
fourth round, wins the game, and will play the bonus round.
Good Luck!
Here's hoping everything you do hits the BULLSEYE!
